EJC Engineering and Project Management Service Pty Ltd (EJC Projects) is a Newcastle based incorporated company with an accredited WHS System and Government Prequalification.

We are practitioners, not consultants. EJC Projects has its origins in road construction and maintenance and now has morphed into a total linear infrastructure development and delivery team.

The EJC Projects team formed in April 2015 following the completion of the successful $1.6B (circa $0.5B/annum) Hunter Valley Heavy Haul rail network capacity expansion program for ARTC (Australian Rail Track Corporation), where we led the unprecedented success of 35 major projects being delivered on time and on budget.

Our people are the heart of our business. We rely on them to deliver the services in a manner and of a character, which ensures client success.

We now have extensive experience in linear infrastructure (road and rail), plus sewer and water strategies, development and construction.

GERARD WITHFORD

BEng (Civil), MIEAust, NPER, CPEng, eMBA (Dist)

25 years of experience in infrastructure strategy, project development and project delivery, particularly in: roads (with RMS and NT Gov), rail (with ARTC), earthworks, structures, tunnels, sewage, services and concrete industries (as a Civil Contractor).  Since 2004 Gerard held senior roles in rail including; Project Director, Program Manager and finally General Manager responsible for the delivery of infrastructure and projects for the successful $1.6B capacity improvement program within the ARTC Hunter Valley heavy haul rail network

Contract Specialist with a Post Graduate Diploma in Construction Law and Bachelor of Commerce 

With over 30 years of experience consulting to both the private and public sectors on the commercial features of a wide variety of infrastructure projects, Quentin demonstrates a detailed understanding of all aspects of infrastructure contracting.  Further, Quentin has acknowledged success in strategic contract management, with a particular expertise in successfully engaging with all stakeholders in construction contract documentation, contract negotiation, early warning on potential claims, dispute avoidance and resolution.

With over 26 years of railway engineering and project management experience on the front line, Andrew has led the implementation of various Network Capacity Enhancement projects throughout the United Kingdom and Australia. Further, Andrew has extensive experience in Design Management, Permanent Way Alignment Design, Civil Earthworks Design, Concept and Feasibility Studies, Maintenance Planning, and Capital Expenditure requirements. Throughout his career, Andrew has used appropriate methods and interpersonal style to build cohesive and effective operational working relationships within several organisations and external parties.

Diploma in PM, WHS Auditor – National Safety Council

With over 40 years of rail asset management, construction and project management experience, Bob provides a level of diversity rarely seen in the industry.  Having worked around the country on both asset owner and contractor side Bob provides practical expertise across the civil and operational aspect of heavy rail.   He has held senior roles within major corporations and was instrumental in the development and delivery of the success $3.5B program of interstate network improvement works including, curve easing, concrete re-sleepering and re-railing over a 6-7 year period for ARTC.  Bob is a true practitioner of rail asset and delivery.

DARREN MOSMAN

Bachelor of Construction Management

With over 15 years of rail, road, structures and commercial construction experience, Darren has a strong knowledge of project planning, construction and maintenance activities, particularly across the rail sector. Darren spent 10 years building and maintaining rail infrastructure across the Hunter Valley. He has adapted skills developed through this experience to be successful in managing and delivering several concurrent multi-discipline projects for various clients on several rail networks. Darren has a comprehensive knowledge of Constructor and Client Side Project Management that allows him to participate and add value to every phase of any project.

Dennis is an expert in structures delivery, accountable for numerous road and rail bridges across NSW. With over 45 years of civil construction, rail construction, rail maintenance experience and structure demolition, Dennis is well known throughout the Construction and Rail Industry for his ability to lead projects from conception through construction to completion
